Request a free flagpole for a disabled veteran you know

From a very young age, I remember my grandfather and the importance he placed in having a flagpole in his yard everywhere he lived, and in flying the flag everyday. He was a WWII veteran who served in the Navy and had an unwavering love for our country. That's where I first became interested in flags and Flagpoles and where I first learned to love this great country of ours. I still have the first two American flags he gave me, one for daily flying and one that flew over the Capitol Building in Washington DC. Forty five years later they are still treasured possessions, and remind me of him on a daily basis. In honor and remembrance of my late grandfather, and in respect to our Veterans, who have served and sacrificed for this great nation of ours, I have begun a new program called Flagpoles For Vets. Please check out the details below to LEARN MORE about it.

Flagpoles For Vets

At Affordable Flagpoles we are committed to being a responsible member of our community. In keeping with that, our newest Community Outreach Program (Flagpoles For Vets) was started to provide flagpoles and American flags to veteran homeowners, who could not otherwise erect one themselves.

Veterans place great importance in having ‘Old Glory’ flying at their homes. It is a meaningful reminder to all service members of their commitment to this great nation, in defending freedom. It invokes a sense of pride in that service and reminds them of the oath taken to defend her. We at Affordable Flagpoles cannot think of a better way to honor our veterans than to provide flagpoles to those who have earned them. We take great pride in building all of our flagpoles but there’s something extra special when we are building one for a vet.

Our intent is to install as many of these flagpoles for them as we can, however we are a small family business and can only do so much ourselves. We provide them completely free of charge. We are not a charity and we do not ask for cash donations however we do accept donations in the form of labor to install a flagpole. So, if you are an individual or you belong to a group with a possible interest in helping out local veterans and you have the skills to install a flagpole then please email us, we welcome you and would be glad to have your help. Our initial goal is to do 2 flagpoles a month but with support from the community, other veterans and businesses, we could achieve even more.

To qualify a Veteran must live in our service area, which encompasses the Greater Cincinnati area, as well as meet certain criteria including owning the property where they reside, and having been Honorably discharged from the service as well as being a combat veteran. Flagpoles will be installed on a 'first come, first serve' basis and preference may be given to certain veterans on a 'case by case' basis. We hope anyone reading this will recognize the importance of this program for the many deserving veterans in our community. We would be happy to partner with members of the public, businesses, veterans and veteran organizations in order to accomplish even more flagpoles in veterans yards. Our combined collaboration will not only provide this valuable service to more deserving veterans but will also help strengthen relationships between all veterans and the general public. Veteran posts and local businesses who are wanting a meaningful way to thank veterans for their service, are encouraged to get involved. We are grateful for everyone’s support.

God bless our veterans and God bless America.
